A taste for truth at any cost is a passion which spares nothing.
Albert Camus
You learn about the true nature of something not by whisking it off and studying it in a lab (although you could, and you would learn what you wanted to learn), but by experiencing it where it is most comfortable, in its own environment. When I say “thing” I am speaking of all things, really, humans, dogs, plants, ameba, souls, anything one can be curious about in any fashion. When you remove a thing from its environment, you take it out of its comfort zone and it acts differently. You may be able to glean information about it in this new environment, and you certainly will learn what information you seek, but things look different under the harsh light of a microscope and may, in fact, act differently! There is more to a thing than the thing itself, and you must learn to enjoy and experience in totality what you are choosing to learn more about. Immerse yourself deep into this new world and you will gain experiential knowledge that will reside deep inside you and never fade with time.
Say, you came across a beautiful mermaid in a lake! Fascinated by this mythical creature, you capture her and take her back home to study her and learn all her secrets! You decide to keep her in your bathtub at home and you visit her every day having great conversations, experiencing the wonder of her mermaid body, so unlike your own, and more! But what can you really know about a creature that is scared and alone, held captive and who very much wants to get back to the world she knows? As in life, the lessons you learn most deeply are the ones you experience, the times you go through something real. These are the lessons you never forget! They become etched in your memory.
Now this mermaid might have specific information that you seek, perhaps how to lure a man into your clutches and enchant him to love you! Mermaids are so beautiful, so enchanting! She likely has this information in abundance and may unwillingly give you the information. You may get the idea that mermaids are sorceresses of the heart, which is only part of the whole truth! You pass this information along and soon many people have this same belief, totally missing the entirety that is the magic of this beautiful creature! Life lessons are multi-faceted with many truths and themes wrapped up in them. What you see in those lessons, can be different than what another sees because each person is looking through the lenses of who they are right now!
Memory is a fickle thing!
And so you have this mermaid, part human, part fish, magical and mythical. But she is not human, she is not fish! You can dissect her and find out what makes her body work, find out if she is more human than fish, or more fish than human, but truly who she is you can never know! Unless you become good friends! Life lessons should be experienced with the same intention! And if you can manage to view the lessons with eyes that are clear of ego, that is even better!
So, go forth and seek Truth! Seek the experience of Truth and share what you have learned to those who would listen! Share the Love y’all, because Love is what everything is all about!
