To walk the spiritual path is to continually step out into the unknown.
Wallace Huey
It’s time. If I am going to progress spiritually, then I need to get my butt in gear! I need to make a promise to myself and persist! And for this, there is no end in sight because the end goal is… spiritual enlightenment? Or is this the sort of thing that never really ends? Are we forever seeking Truth and trying to incorporate those lessons into our lives?
To be honest, I already know quite a bit about self-improvement. Many of the things people are discovering I have known without knowing I knew because I grew up with these concepts. I do not consciously live them but I suppose I need to now that I am a mother. It is very possible that these lessons and others are the most important lessons I can pass on to my children.
I need a plan. Right now the plan is, find a lesson, a Truth, and memorize it! Know it backward and forwards! Live that truth! Use the tools I have at my disposal- tools like affirmations, visualization, and writing- to make that Truth mine! Teach that Truth to my children and to others! Use interactions I have with others to practice Truths and to lead me to other Truths. Use this world as my classroom and learn! A good way for me to learn is with books.
I also think it’s time to clear my space and get organized! I am surrounded by so much clutter! It is everywhere and I believe it is very unhealthy for me. Perhaps then, this is a good place to start! I can declutter my world outside of myself, get organized, and learn the tools necessary to keep it that way! Then, perhaps, my inner world will shift to match?
Finally, I would really love to actively inspire people to improve themselves spiritually in whatever way they see fit! Just so they are working on it! I have this blog, which is one way to reach people, but I have learned through my weight loss journey that to document my journey and share it is very inspiring to people! I am juggling quite a few things but pushing myself will only serve to improve me!
