I sincerely believe that we are living in the end of days! But we do not have to be scared! We chose to be here, to be witnesses and to help move things along. There is purpose, even if we cannot see it!

There’s a good deal to be alarmed about right now! The worl’d bug population is dropping by 40%, The Amazon rainforest is on fire, animals are going extinct left and right, deforrestation continues at an alarming rate, and that’s just a few things! All of this world malady is seriously contributing to climate change. The world is literally heating up like a worldwide fever and we humans are the “bug” that needs curing! We can either cure ourselves and possibly survive or…

During this time it seems like fear is the most common reaction. People are scared because they see their home declining and them along with it! Truth be told, this is an opportunity for spiritual growth! Choose Love! This is a time when people can reach out and help each other, lift each other up!

The Earth is not our resource, she is our responsibility!

Here is where I see the most opportunity for positive growth. What we need is a global shift in perspective. This planet, our home, is not our resource! She is our responsibility! You may hear me say this over and over again because I think the distinction is that important. Think of her as a living entity! Think of her as our own child! She is an integral part of every single one of us! And yet as a species, we treat her with blatant condemnation and continued disrespect! As a species, our greed and power cravings have gotten so out of hand that we don’t even seem to care if we are hurting ourselves! And what is the root cause of all the greed and negativity? Fear! Ego has stepped in and been allowed free-range, ego is running our governments and destroying our planet, ego is keeping us from making the changes necessary in our everyday lives to demand change!

I, personally, would love to see a global upgrade in not only how we think about planet Earth, but also in how we think about each other! Let us not think, “What can you do for me?” Let us instead think, “How can I be of service to you?” Let me tell you, sometimes my girls get into small tiffs over who is going to bring me a glass of water, or my medication, or whatever else I need. They are fighting over who gets to be the one to help me! “Gets” to be! Think about it! Think of the shift of energy when you just add in that small seemingly insignificant detail. You “get” to help other people! Helping others is its own reward! Living sustainably on a planet that is your responsibility, your child, that you have deep, deep, deep feelings of love for, THAT will bring untold amounts of joy to all of us!

All of this shift, this upgrade, is made possible because of the need to do it that is being created by the urgency of the state of the planet! These dark times mean that the greatest change is possible! It works that way on a personal level and it can work that way on a grander level! So, yea, things are not that great right now, but if we choose to continue to react out of fear, there is literally no way we can improve! If we choose love, new and amazing avenues of hope, joy and growth begin to open up to us! And, there, in the foundation of love, is the greatest chance for survival! I don’t know what a world where humans actively chose love over fear would look like, but damn I want to see that!
